Two Volkswagen companies celebrate their 20th anniversary in Polkowice

Over the last 20 years SITECH Sp. z o. o. and Volkswagen Motor Polska Sp. z o.o. have established their position not only in the Volkswagen Group as companies focused on innovation and modern production but also on the local labor market as companies operating with the belief that people are the greatest wealth of the company.

SITECH Sp. z o.o. is a leading manufacturer of seats in the Volkswagen Group. Apart from four halls in Polkowice, the company has two more production plants: one in Głogow, the other in Września and additionally two Research and Development Offices. Over the past 20 years, the company's area has more than quadrupled.

Volkswagen Motor Polska Sp. z o.o. is integrated into the concern in the Volkswagen brand structures, is one of the twelve group brands. The Polkowice plant produces engines and their components, which are delivered to Volkswagen plants all over the world. The engine factory in Polkowice is one of the most modern engine factories in the Volkswagen Group. Both companies were established in 1998 and belong to the Volkswagen AG Group.

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary, on June 15, 2018, representatives of the Volkswagen Group and representatives of the world of politics and science expressed their appreciation for the achievements of both companies being part of Volkswagen Components. That day, the 20th-anniversary opening ceremony of both companies' facilities took place, during which Adam Holewa - Technical Director / SITECH Sp. z o. o. Director and Dirk Strümpfler - President of the Management Board of Volkswagen Motor Polska Sp. z o. o. jointly conducted a specially prepared programme for the anniversary celebration for this important event.

During a short discussion, the members of the Management Board, Supervisory Board, and employees with the longest seniority spoke about the past, present and future of SITECH Sp. z o.o. and Volkswagen Motor Polska Sp. z o.o. The invited people shared their memories of the beginnings of both companies, highlighting the changes and the most important achievements that have taken place in both companies over the last 20 years. Guests from around the world were presented with prospects for the successive positioning of both companies in increasingly difficult competition on the automotive market. During the debate, the importance of the strategy of training young workers as an investment in the future of group companies.

The opening ceremony was only a prelude to further celebrations. An additional attraction during the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Volkswagen Group companies was the opportunity to visit both plants. Thanks to the wonderful guests and unusual atmosphere it was a day full of memories.

On Saturday, June 16, 2018, SITECH Sp. z o.o. celebrated a family event in Polkowice with the participation of all employees at the Polkowice plant. The company's 20th anniversary was celebrated in a truly-family, warm and integration-friendly atmosphere. The great atmosphere continued until the very end of the meeting.
