Best Apprentice Award 2018 - an employee of SITECH Sp. z o.o. among the winners!
The Volkswagen Group has once again honored its best graduates in the world with the "Best Apprentice Award". Among them is also an employee of SITECH Sp. z o.o. - Eryk Bednarek.
For 12 years now, SITECH has been training young talents from vocational schools as part of practical vocational training. The award winner, Eryk Bednarek, is last year's graduate of the mechatronics training at the School Complex (Zespół Szkół) in Chocianów. His candidacy for the BAA 2018 award was determined by the positive opinion of the supervisor of practical vocational training at SITECH and very good results of theoretical and practical examinations before the State Examination Board, which completed the three-year stage of practical training in the company. Since September 2017, Eryk Bednarek has been working at SITECH Sp. z o. o. in Polkowice as a maintenance mechanic.
Eryk is a very active and committed person, willing to develop his qualifications and skills. He took part in many projects carried out at the SITECH factory in Polkowice, e.g. construction of the assembly line for modular seat backrests, installed in such cars as Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Porsche, and Skoda. Additionally, as a representative of SITECH Sp. z o.o., he represented the Company during the Poznan International Youth Congress 2017, exchanging his experience with the participants, as well as during the Open Days at the School Complex (Zespół Szkół) in Chocianów, encouraging school pupils to learn a practical profession at SITECH.
The "Best Apprentice Award" ceremony was first held in 2001 and has been the eighteenth gala in a row. This year, 46 top graduates of 16 different professions from 19 countries have received awards for outstanding professional competence. The employees were awarded on December 7, 2018, in Wolfsburg as part of a meeting of the Volkswagen Management Board and the World Works Council. The awards were presented by Dr. Herbert Diess, CEO of the Volkswagen Group, Dr. Gunnar Kilian, member of the Volkswagen HR Management Board, and Bernd Osterloh, Chairman of the Volkswagen World Works Council.
