"Practical Education of Students" - the end of the second edition

"Practical education of students" is a project that was created in 2015 as a result of the cooperation of SITECH Sp. z o.o. with Wrocław University of Science and Technology and Polish-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK).

In 2016 the second edition of this project began. 4 students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Machine Construction of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering started their adventure combining science and studies with practical issues at SITECH. 

From year to year, the number of student internship days in the company has been gradually increasing: in the 3rd and 4th semester they stayed 1 day in the Company's headquarters in Polkowice, and during the 5th and 6th semester, they stayed for 2 days, while in the 7th semester they stayed for 3 days. In addition to university exams, students were also preparing for the AHK vocational exam, consisting of two parts. After the 6th semester of learning the so-called theoretical and practical part (from the technical drawing) was held. The second part of the examination was combined with the engineering work defence at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, where the students wrote their diploma theses on the basis of research and tests conducted at SITECH Sp. z o.o. 

All the graduates passed their exams successfully. The project was successful not only for the graduates themselves but also for SITECH Company, which gained young employees with extensive professional experience. Today they are engineers with a professional title - Technical Designer.

The official end of the project "Practical training of students" took place at the General Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany in Wroclaw in the first quarter of 2019. The ceremony was attended by representatives of SITECH, AHK, Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, the General Consulate of the Federal Republic of Germany, local government and representatives of the invited companies who had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the entire structure and organization of the project.
